Running around with the locals

What is this about?

An adventure about travel, running and generally meandering about!

This is a new project in the making but hopefully the continuation of what has so far been a wonderful adventure. I have a passion for running, travel and adventuring but until now, it’s something that I’ve kept to a very personal level, and honestly, never saw why it should be shared. Or why anyone would care!

However, I have to say that I’ve had some wonderful times whilst doing the things that I love; whether it is exploring the wonderful architecture of the streets of Prague whilst trying to catch my breath, running through some very muddy hills in Bristol or just running in awe through the streets of London, admiring the scenery and completing one of the most renowned races in the world.

Running and travel are something that I think makes sense to do together, and I would now like to share my experiences with you. Why? because it seems like it’s the right thing to do and because through running and travelling I’ve met some pretty amazing people along the way.

To this day, I’ve recorded about 700+ running miles and the idea is to add to the tally whilst (hopefully) exploring the world and continue to meet cool new people. How am I going to do this you ask? Well.. what better way to do so than by running around with the locals? And why? The idea is to get to know new areas – off the beaten track – and learn about new countries, regions and cultures through the eyes of its people. To develop a unique insight into what drives them and to learn what their inspiration is, what keeps them going through the miles and just to understand what made them think it was a good idea to take up this sport in the first place!
