About running

I’m a big fan of running it turns out; but that hasn’t always been the case and I have my history of couch potatoedness. However since I found out about five years ago that I like running there’s been no stopping me. I run for leisure and exercise, but mostly because I find it a very liberating way to explore new areas, regions and to really experience the noisy outdoors.

Since I began running I’ve completed the Reading Half Marathon, the Prague Marathon, the St Albans Half Marathon, Bristol’s Extreme Ravine Half Marathon, the London Marathon and most recently I participated in the Olympic Team Relay London Triathlon where I set a personal best 10k!

I’ve collected a nice set of medals, but it’s not about that really. It’s all about enjoying the experience and having a good time.

Needless to say, I’ve tried to mix my love for running with my passion for travel and exploring. So far, I haven’t gone far from home to have a run (the furthest being Prague!) but the idea is to go far and wide, exploring new countries and far away regions through running. Why running? Because as I mentioned before, I find it the best way to truly experience the outdoors, feeling the full force of the elements and being truly and fully aware of your surroundings. No distractions, just you, your trainers and the road ahead!
